NothinÕ major new this week. The awkward, adolescent transition phase in editorial control is still in full effect, zits and all. Much like the substitute teacher faced with an unruly eighth-grade home form, as new section editor I have to make sure that no one is goofing off, slacking off, or chewing gum with little concrete ÒauthorityÓ to back me up. But soon this transitional phase will be over and, just as the substitute teacher emerges from her cocoon to become a majestic, bewingèd principal, I will soon pass through this trial by fire a stronger, harder, more disciplined editorial figure. But nothing much new this week.
