Submission Guidelines
Yes. Another one roped in.

Hark! Did I hear that you want to submit your body, soul, and prose to MONDO?

Fantastic. But don’t stop there! Have you thought about drawing comics or taking photos?

MONDO wants those too.

So join the MONDOsquad. We’re a lot like the Kiss army, but with less make up.

To help you start thinking about the buckets of content you’re going to write, here are some submission guidelines.

First off—just to put this out there—MONDO wants to publish your original and unpublished content. This does NOT mean your myspace or livejournal or what have you. However, you retain all your copyright here at MONDO, so if you want to sell it after we publish it you’re totally welcome to.

Reviews of any sort should be between 300 and 500 words. They should include title of the work; artist/director; label or production company or venue; and date released (and closing for gallery shows). Also, don’t forget to put your name, you’re the star here. Your review should be critical, include relevant background information, and above all else be entertaining.

Interviews should be no longer than 1000 words. Please include an introduction to the interview and photos where possible.

Features should be 700 to 1000 words. Although many of us sneeze at the word thesis, please have one. However, feel free to use first person.

Profiles are a lot like features.

Humour columns are hard. Often shorter is better. Please pitch us with your idea. We’re sure it's awesome; we want to help you make it stupendous.

Comics should be submitted no smaller than 350 by 350 pixels in jpg or tiff formats.

Photos should be no smaller than 600 by 800 and bigger is better. We'll deal with the resizing. And again, jpg or tiff is preferred.

If you have an idea that you think falls outside of these guidelines please contact the relevant section editor or Rachel or Miles with your proposal.
